$50 Paint Job Project

For only $70 to completely change the look/color of your car, I think it was a good choice.

I also decided to do this $50 paint job. Went with the safety red. I started last night with the spoiler. I used acetone to thin it out. I put three thin coats on first and one coat slightly thicker coat on and let it sit over night in my hot ass garage. I loved the way it turned out so I coated the the whole car! Its great.

I mixed it so it was water thin that seemed to work perfect! Im going to wet sand evry three coats. I didnt get hardly any bubbles.

yea black is really hard to do, if you do it again try a light color. white is always a good color. white 1gs are sexy too ;)

Yeah, I will use a lighter/brighter color next time.

I may pick up a sprayer though. Anyone ever use like a Wagner Power Painter to spray a car?

Whew! Two more layers to go. All I did today was wet sand her with 800 grit. Next is the two layers and wetsand with 1200+ and compound polish. Doesn't look pretty because she's all dirty.

Did you use rollers or a sprayer? It looks really good. That rubbing compound is key though. Really will bring the shine out after all of that sanding.

Roller FTW. Its so damn easy. If you have patience then you can do this.

Got the last Layer on. Tomorrow I do the wetsand of 1200 and Compound polish
