Sup guys,

I have a 98 Mitsu Eclipse with a t25 and I have a friend that will give me a small 16g with a blown wastegate housing for $50. Is it worth buyin? If so, what is the best way to fix it? how much will it cost to get the turbo rebuilt or can i do something to it and use an external wastegate? I searched for BLOWN WASTEGATE HOUSING but i could find anything. If i posted this in the wrong forum, sorry guys. Thanks, i need know ASAP

Depends whats actually wrong with it. The flapper is apart of the exhaust housing soo could he mean that the wheel is damaged? or the wastegate is not functioning properly? Either way its good deal for $50 you could block off the internal wastegate and mount an external probly the cheaper route would be too get a 14b turbo (stock 1g turbo share the same exhaust housing as 16g) and swap them. I`d say for 50 bucks its worth it if thats the case

Sorry guys for the late reply for the pics, but i decided to buy it here are the pics of the cracks on the exhaust housing by the wastegate flapper. Now wat is the cheapest way to rebuild it? oyea it didnt come with the stock wastegate actuator(sp?) will my t-25 actuator work?

Whoever ported that did a SHITTY job, thats the reason why it cracked like that, its definately re-usable and i would buy a wastegate actuator off ebay for like $10 or somehow adapt your t-25 actuator. ( Not too hard)

Thanks guys i just ordered the steel housing from bullseye power my next problem is the turbine wheel. Here are some pics of the turbine wheel. The first pic show which fins are chipped. The single circled fin on one side has the big chip shown in the next picture and the two circled fins on the other side has small chips It is the third pic. The last pic is showin both sides Will these chips make the turbo not work? should i buy a new turbine before bolting it on or is it fine? and is the turbo unbalanced now? What should i do?

Ok guys I just recieved the Bullseye power steel turbine housing, now how do i install the centersection to it. When i try puttin it 2gether teh wheel seems to hit the wall and it doesnt turn....did they send me the wrong one, and also how do i lock the centersection to the new turbine housing?
Thanks

Spend $15 to have it re-balanced at the local Turbo/Diesel/Diesel Performance shop. Use the VFAQ to reassemble it (it's just like a 14b). A new turbine wheel would probably cost a raping. You could always get a wheel from a 14b but then you'd have to get it balanced anyway!

Does N E one have a pic of a BullsEye Power TD05H housing, the pics on their site is the same but i need to see the pics of the side wher the centersection connects to because here is what mine looks like. Do u think they sent me the wrong one cuz the centersection doesnt fit and how am I suppose to lock the center to the housing?
