5 speed in a automatic? please help

93 laser awd auto can i use a manuel ecu from a 1st gen? i heard you cannot use the 89-90 but could i use a 91-94 manuel? and i also heard i would have to change injectors. what else would i have to do? and would the manuel ecu and getting bigger injectors effect my car in anyway? any help is much appreciated

91-94 5 speed ecu,, 5 speed rear end..5 speed tans/transfer case,..450 manual injectors and fpr..Shifter linkage etc..

A donor car would be ideal..

He wasn't asking about the swap just can an Manual ECU work in an auto and the answer is yes. As the OP said, it would be smart to swap injectors to compensate for it. The best part about manual ECU in autos is for launching purposes, they won't retard timing when you brake boost.

yea i dont wanna swap it to 5 speed i just want my car to run and i cant find a ecu anywhere. so if i dont wanna swap it to 5 speed can i just put in the manuel ecu and manuel injectors? and if i can will it have any side effects ???

A manual ecu manual injectors and the manual fpr..Will not have any negative effects..I ran the same setup on mine untill the 5 speed eprom took a shit..Ran great..And launches were amazing..I could spool my 16g before the launch..

Nope plug and play as long as your not using a 0 ecu in 91+ or 91+ ecu in 90.Can work butisn't technica;;y plus and play.
