5.0 Mustang VS 91 Talon<ME ???

I raced a 5.0 and beet him by 2 car lengths off the line but around a 1/4 mile we let off and he was then about 2-3 car lengths in front of me. Thats was with only a filter and fee mods. I now have 15-16 psi and a highflow cat so what do u think would happen now? Thanks for the posts

I have read many places that 15-16 is safe with the stock fuel mods(mostly in threads) and i am usually closer to 15

What you're running now is safe.......DO NOT EXCEED 16psi for more than a few seconds!

i don't know. a 5.0 mustang has 300 foot lbs. of tork.
and dsms turbos only have 205 ft. lbs. but that is with bouth cars being stalk. in my opinion, i think that the 5.0 would still beat you but maybe only by a half a car langth. but who cares just race. what fun is it if you are worried about losing. oh and don't bet on races that can take the fun out of it too.

If this is a sixth generation 5.0, its 225HP@4000 and 300TQ@3200. Even with these specs the AWD Talon will STILL beat the hell out of it off the line if launched correctly..the chances are high the mustang won't grab very well.

At bottom-end the Talon will definitely take the Mustang, but once you approach 3rd/4th gear the 5.0 will pull hard.

As for the original post, race him and find out mustangs are weird cars. I beat some and i've lost to some all you have to do is find out for yourself. Just pull as hard as you can till the end.

Yeah, it is very saddening that our "most knowledgable member" sits at his computer all day and corrects what people write. If anyone should be kicked off of DSMTUNERS.com it should be NosLaser for posting off topic threads. I am posting an off topic thread also but Nos u should except that people from differnt places and speak, say, and spell things differently or grow up, whichever comes first. BTW.. your first post about correcting his spelling errors...no where in that post does it teach him a lesson, it just shows that your being an a$$...as for the post i dont know what its about because half of the posts are BS spelling corrections.

You will problebly beat him! When my car had a k&n, mbc set at 15psi, and free mods I beat a 5.0 pretty bad concidering I was fwd and couldnt launch the damn thing. i problebly got him by a few cars.

i eat 5.0s for lunch. they sound all tough and then i smoke them. the 5.0 drivers around here are so arrogant to... makes me SO mad! but then i demolish them... mods are in the profile... i still consider my car stock though.

The spelling wasn't bad at all. Anybody can clearly read what he was saying. It was just a common typo. If he had a problem with the grammer he should have privately messaged the person instead of cluttering up the post with worthless bullshit like he did. I'm sorry but this "wiseman" is not so wise. If NOSaser has that big of a problem with people telling him that he is wrong on a online forum then he should reconsider his LIFE. end of story
