4th Gear problem, never happened until tonight!!! please advise!!!

Hey, I drive my car mostly in 1st- 4th, and then 5th on the highway ofcourse. I have owned the car since saturday, and tonight while driving home, 4th gear is making a WIERD noise, has never happened yet. Not in any other gear either. Its just like wierd gear hitting something sound. I dont like the sound of it, so i stayed in 3rd. I was in 4th at like 2000 rpms. It didnt happen earlier today when I was in 4th at higher rpms or lower. What could it be???

only makes noise when on the gas, very minor when not on the gas, wtf could it be?????
