So I drive a 4g64 sohc in a galant and I'm wondering if I can go boost without really blowing anything . Does anyone have a link to a dohc .

My other discussion is my wheel squeak while moving but when I lift it in the air it stops. Why?
Anyone know if Evo 8 seats fit my car

You can turbo any motor with the right engine management and necessary parts.

Why the squeak on the ground is that the bearings are working with the weight on them. Put new bearings in the wheel.

Measure the bolt pattern in your Galant (what year is it..mid to late 90's?) and see if the EVO-VIII seats match up to the pattern.

Yes, you can boost the 4g64 engine. The stock internals have been known to handle 8-10psi on a smaller frame turbo, with proper supporting mods of course. But a tuning device (preferably capable of logging knock) and a wideband are the keys to success. For the DOHC swap, it's not terribly difficult since Mitsu decided to make a DOHC 4g64 Galant in 1994. However, the gain in top end power comes at a loss of low end torque. More so with the 1g head. The link below is the DOHC swap parts list for a 2g DSM, but there should be little-to-no difference for the Galant.
