Reading over some of these threads but I am not finding exactly what I am looking for.
I have a 4G64 and plan to build it. I was trying to go with aluminum rods. Now I am told that it wont work that the block will have to be machined so much it will be useless. I am not sure if this is true or not.
My other concern is rod angle, if I were able to run the grodens would the rod angle be too extreme for them.
Looking at my options here, I have a 7 bolt 4g63 with a new crank and I have a 4g64 with a perfect crank.
I don't want to get in a debate about aluminum rods either, this is not for a daily driver.
