So i have a 98 galant with the 4g64 I swapped to a dohc head and a 98 flashable ecu. I am running 450cc injectors with a S16g at 10 psi. I am using evoscan to do some logs so i was wondering if you guys could pick them apart and tell me how it looks thanks.

Looks like you have your injectors dialed in pretty good but your low(idle) is rich so increase the dead-time at the lower voltages and that should take care of it. Are you scaled to 450 in ecuflash?

I'd look into buying new injectors, I run the 550cc for 10-12 psi and I am anywhere from 70 to 85 % IDC on a 11:1 AFR depending on the air temp. Just saying its nice to have some headroom.

Next time log the load, you cant change any tables without that.

Also switch to ceddy's XML for evoscan its better.

I don't understand how you are rich in the lower and mid and leaned out in WOT did you change the fuel map for high load? If not your definitely running out of fuel and should buy bigger injectors.

No its the stock map on the stock ecu i didn't change a thing, I don't see where it says engine load on evoscan is it ecu load that i log for engine load or???

The stock EvoScan EcuLoad will only go up to 160. Which is only around 7 psi.

If you switch to a CeddyMod rom, and use the included EvoScan .xml there are addition Loads added to log.

1Byte Load is the best(fastest) to log.

[1Byte Load maxes out at 320 Load, ~30 psi]

A few of the items in the stock EvoScan .xml are incorrect for DSMs, also.

you can see i am getting insane amounts of knock. Probably phantom knock not to sure whats going on. knock sensor is new.. I am getting 22 degrees of timing thought which is odd for that much knock. I am seeing 11.1 afr on 11-12 psi 800 celsius on my egt and around 80 percent injector duty cyle. Im going to try and dowload ceddy mods tonight. I just picked up a maft so im hoping to tune out some of the small stuff. Keep in consideration this is a 2.4 dohc on stock internals about 10.5 to 1 compression.

you are not getting 22 degrees. you have a peak of 14 under wot based on your previous log. Please do no post the evoscan graphs they are entirely worthless for us to give you any meaningful tuning advice.

In the future please post only log files with the following info

rpm, throttle pos, load, timing, AFR map, fuel trim(low, mid, high), o2 voltage , and knock.

to get rid of the PK max out the load vs knock table to 3000rpm. The PK is from the harmonics of the 4g64 being different than the 4g63...everyone I have talked with a stock 4g64 bottom end has had this problem including me.

For starters you are logging a bunch of useless stuff. Stick to RPM, timing, fuel trims, maf hz, knock sum, TPS, coolant....no need for all the random knock voltage and other things..

To fix the phantom knock on my car I took the low knock multiplier and changed it slowly upwards till I stopped seeing that knock...I also had to pull alot of midrange timing to stop knocking. I have a pretty conservative timing table if you need one, but you might have to change the scaling. lmk

I am using evoscan just soley for logging i have no other means of tuning besides a maft translator. I dont have the open port cable, im using a vag 409.1 cable. Im pretty sure my crank pulley is seperating because it is now rubbing into my timing cover... Could be causing some of the knock issues.
