So I have read and have not foumd a clear answer. Is the 4g64 block/4g63 head a 2.3 stroker engine? I know putting the 2.4 crank in 2.0 block with piston change is a stroker, but Im not sure on the 4g64/4g63 hybrid

The 4g64 block with the 4g63 head will be consider a 2.4 liter hybrid, not a stroker because the stroke of the 4g64 block is still the same, 100mm.

--Putting the 4g64 crank into the 2.0l block will change the standard stroke of the 2.0l block from 88mm(standard 4g63 stroke) to 100mm(4g64 standard stroke) which will than be consider a stroker, from my understanding. In the 4g64 with the 4g63 cylinder you are just changing the cylinder head and not changing the stroke of the 4g64 block.

Ok thank you, I did come across that thread in my searching. The reason I was asking is because I just did the 4g64/4g63 head the head has 272 cams with 1g cams new seals and I relapped the valves. Added the 1g CAS along with completley removing the trigger plate and CPS. I did the road race engineering rewire. The car is setup as N/A right now
Using 97 spyder maf and tb along with exhaust, stock 275 injectors and 97 spyder ecu with 1g manifold.
I preformed the racing level vacumn mod only vacumn sources are power booster, and fpr, along with pcv valve. The other port on VC has a filter on it.
The engine feels like it has way more pull and power. The downside is the car still smokes badly under heavy pulls. So I am going to build a engine in the process of 2.4 dohc build but was thinking of just upgrading pistons and rods boring and reringing my exsisting block, adding the 1g ECU and a fmic turbo system. Just trying to see if its better to rebuild my block or make a stroker and add a turbo
