why is the 4g64 motor shit talked about so much. what is wrong with the motor. there are more problems with the 420a then there will ever be with the 4g64. i know that the main dif between the 4g64 and the 4g63 is the head and the crank. im currently working on my friends 1g talon tsi awd, and when we took the block apart, his pistons were the exact same size as mine. what i have been told by all the dsms(1g & 2g) that the 4g64 is a stroked version of the 4g63. why do you guys give more respect to the 420a then to the 4g64.

also, in my last post, i stated that my car smokes 1g and 2g rs and gs. im not ####ing stupid. i come nowhere near the gst, gsx, and tsi. i dont run away from anything. im currently suffering from bronchitis and i dont wake up till later in the day. i tried to repost but it was already locked.

Where has it been talked about so badly on this forum?

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cylinder-head-short-block/313201-4g63-4g64-swap.html

There is a thread were people are interested in using the 4G63.

what i have been told by all the dsms(1g & 2g) that the 4g64 is a stroked version of the 4g63.

Where are these DSMs that tell you things at exactly? My car doesn't say a word....

why do you guys give more respect to the 420a then to the 4g64.

I don't think anyone gives any respect or disrespect to any engine on here. Obviously people with 4G63s aren't going to swap in 420As. We respect ALL engines and that is why we have threads for N/T tech talk, etc. as well.

what... in... the... hell... are you talking about???? NOBODY on this forum talks shit about a 4g64. and if your pistons are the same size as a 4g63 then you have some SERIOUS problems, the difference is small but there IS a difference. .3 liters of the .4 is stroke (via the crank) and .1 is by bore (85 mm bore vs 86.5 mm)

sorry you have bronchitis man, but that still doesn't explain why you keep posting threads that appear to be intended to start fights

dsm tuners tell me that info.

on the last thread that i posted everyone was talkin shit about the 3g eclipse and the 4g64. i dont understand how people can call the 4g63 a dsm motor and not the 4g64.

i just want to figure this out cause im about to start rebuilding my 4g64 into a 4g64/4g63t frankenstien. ive been told by numerous amount of people that it has been done, ive seen it on a video being done, and i just need to ask qs cause im having problems finding a donor 4g63t. im actually lookin for a totaled evo8 or 9 that i can use. i really want the awd system off of one. i want a custom built 3g gsx. i tried to get answers from club3g.com but theyre a bunch of ricer who dont know shit about cars. i asked a car q and they told me that theyre forums arent for discussing car things.

well thanks for clearing the piston q for me. i was told that i can just drop in the 4g63 pistons into my sleeves. that wont work. does anyone know where i can look for some better pistons for car at.

There's a vendors link in the top of the website toolbar. A few of them will carry items for the 4g64. No one's saying it's not a DSM motor, but your 3g Eclipse is NOT a DSM. As soon as you understand that little fact, we can all move on. Also, good luck fitting a Evo8 or 9 head on a 4g64. Everything's backwards, my friend.
