hi, I recently purchased a 95 eclipse gst and was told that it had a boost leak. after doing a leak test I found nothing and am now looking for other possibilities. the rpm range varies as for when excactly it happens, but it seems to be when I hit 9 or 10 psi of boost the car misfires rapidly and loses power/ acceleration. I don't have a ton of money to just start replacing my whole ignition system so I was hoping someone has ran into this before. I work at an auto parts store so getting parts is no issue. any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thank you!

side note, if anyone has suggestions for what other turbo's will fit well on this car please let me know

Check your spark plug wires and the plugs themselves. Make sure they are gapped at .28-.32. I would recommend getting NGK bpr6es if you're stock to mostly stock.

thank you, and I apologize but I forgot to mention that I replaced the plugs already and gapped them accordingly. I was guessing it could be the wires so I guess I should replace them. any idea if the coils in these cars are known to fail? as for mods I have a greddy atmospheric vent bov and a godspeed header. and a aftermarket air filter and exhaust with no cat.

You have to recirculate your bov, because with that metered air escaping it causes your ecu to compensate by sending more fuel, and is harmful to the motor.
