I have $2,000. bucks to rebuild or find a new 1g 4g63 engine. what should I do?
The engine that currently sits in my dsm has water in the pistions, blown HG or cracked head eathier way its a bi*** to fix, might as well rebuild it or by a new rebult one.
does anybody know of a good machine shop in or around sacramento CA? or where to buy a rebuilt 4g63 besides ebay? anything would help. :thumb:

As far as machine shops... Sacramento Cylinder Heads on Sunrise are doing my head right now for a pretty good price ($450 for port/polish/oversized valves/assembly).

I would pretty much go with at least getting a new head obviously...For machine work on the block the only place I can think of is in fairfield. California Street machine. They're ok....only problem is if a drug dealer comes in and is willing to pay to get your car off the rack they'll do it and work on his.

My suggestion rebuild the block and get a new head... you see plenty of heads on tuners and dsmtrader and of course ebay.
