Hello guys ;) I'am from lithuania and I have 1G DSM 7bolt NA+T
the setup is:
1g 4g43 7bot NT engine
fully rebuild : pistons, valves, bearings, gaskets and so on.....
ported and polished IN EX runners and combustion camber
BS elimination kit
BPR8ES (two steps colder) plugs
IHI RHB5-VJ11 turbo (from ford probe GT)
FMIC (ford probe GT)
free flow exhaust
polished TB (60mm)
EGR block off
LPG injection kit
Liqui Moly 5w40 engine oil

so now I am runing turbo on NT internals,
it has OEM oil squiters, oil cooler and knock sensor.
boost level for now is 7 psi A/F with narrow band O2 is quite rich

how much boost the engine can keep up with this setup?
thanks for your posts
here is some pic

Don't try to tune off of the Narrowband sensor. It will say rich all the way up untill you shit a piston.

Get yourself a good wideband.

Do you have a logger?
What injectors do you have?
What fuel pump do you have?

Pleas fill out your profile so that we know everything that is done to the car.

engine runs only on lpg, all petrol fuel system is in stock.
I can control injection time to lpg injectors with LPG ECU

NT's dont come stock with oil squarters!

Like ProjectGS said, get a wideband. Also get a mechanical boost guage.

With that turbo, You'll be lucky if you can hold 10psi to redline :)

It's not boost that kills the nt pistons. It's knock. Cracks the ringlands even easier than stock turbo pistons. Since you rebuilt it with new pistons, you could ahve used turbo pistons. I mean you did drill and tap oil squirters. . . But oh well. Your logger is your lifeline here. Tune for zero knock on a hot day. You'll be fine. There's no need even to worry about a wideband. You will NEVER see the a/f ratio neccesary for peak torque since you'll see game-over detonation before then. So don't bother. Tune for zero knock.

High compression means less timing. But that lower timing does not mean less power. That just means that high compression causes the air/fuel charge to burn faster and thus Mean Best Timing is lower. And you get the benefit of better thermal efficiency (more power) of the higher compression. So don't be afraid to do things like retard your base timing, or pull alot out with your tuning solution. In your case, I wouldn't pull out the driveway without setting base timing at zero. N/T timing maps are VERY aggresive. And far beyond MBT for a stock turbo that has lower compression. Boost speeds the burn rate just as much as raising the compression.

Yah! Look at the cool amber turn signals. What's going on with the headlights? There seems to be an extra piece in between the h/l door and the turn sig lense.

I'am runing for about 15000 miles with that turbo on 7 psi and 5 BTDC base timig, and for now everything is ok:thumb: but I want to boost some more power from this setup:)

if I change that turbo to 14b or 16g how much safe bhp should I expect? and witch is better for nt internals?

I don't like to bench race, i would recommend you get your car dynoed to see how much hp a 14b or 16g will make. As for safe, i would say 14 psi tops, or just run wastegate pressure.

I think we've already told you what you need to do. You need to get a logger and a wideband to find out what your car is doing. If you don't know what the ECU is trying to do then you can't accurately tune the car. For a 1g it is really simple to make your own cable to plug into the stock ALDL connector. Then download the TMO logger software. Pull some logs and find out where you need to adjust your LPG. Make sure you're not getting any knock.

OK I will try to make my own cable, I have the scheme in our Mitsubishi club in Lithuania ;)
thanks for your post and suggestions ;)

will I can see real knock with TMOlogger http://ik.su.lt/~mawerix/viktoras/TMOlogger.rar

some words there in Lithuanian:) varza - resistor 10k oms:)
but the question is : is anyone using this program? or which programs and cabes are you using?

hy, guys do you remember my? :)
i am still runing this car on lpg, and it runs grate:)
i hav upgraded some parts, and it came much faster when it was at first.
now it has:
t3/to4b s-trim turbocharger
fmic from fiat duato 2009 2,4jtd
fidanza aliuminium flywheel, and stock 2g GST cluch kit
custom made big port blow of valve
modified lgp system
2.5 inteke
2,5 exhaust
and it runs at 15psi in summer with no problems:)
engine internals are stil stock 4g63 NT internals and it seems everything is ok:)
I am runing this setup for abaut 30k km.
i haven't dynoed it yeat , but it seems i has about 280 - 300hp
so i want to tell (for anybody who is intrested) that nt engine holds up low boost 15psi very good, even with lpg fuel:)

LPG is about 112 or 116oct, so you can get away with a pretty ratty tune and not hurt parts. Also, its cold, so it keeps the charge air chilly. BTW, euro 7 bolt n/t are like 10:1 compression.

But Hey, what do I know I'm not a wiseman, and I shift to hard.
