if its like my friends honda *not saying dsm are anything like them but still* he had a turbo engine with no turbo and it ran good it just didnt have much power...dont know if that helps any

The differences between the two are varied, oil squirters and lower compression pistons (7.8:1 compared to 9:1) in the turbo engine are the main ones. The NT block still has the mounting point for the knock sensor (you may have to chase the threads with a tap to use it). The lack of oil squirters is unlikely to be a problem if you use aftermarket forged pistons; I've gotten away with using stock 2g turbo pistons in a lower boost application (no more than 15 PSI) in an NT block without seeing any damage yet.

like NN4S said, it would be the compression, the cams, pistons. The N/A block has the same crank and rods as the turbo block.

are you suggesting putting a non turbo bottom end into your turbo car or just the block itself?
