4g63 motor; help needed!

im in the process of completing a motor swap. i pulled my old motor (jdm vr4 cyclone) and began transfering parts to my new long block when i ran into a big problem. i pulled the knock sensor off the jdm motor and went over the the new motor and realized that the knock sensor is too big and wont thread in. i then began to worry that i dont have the right motor so i started to look closely at the long block. i noticed that on the jdm motor there is 2.0 stamped on the opposite side of the cam gears but when i took a look at the new motor the head had G6 stamped on it. i found lettering etched on the new block and it says 4g63 hf4468. now i have no idea what these codes mean and im really worried about whether i have the wrong motor or not. please if anyone can help me out your help is greatly appreciated. thank you

does the valve cover match your old motors? does it say hyundai on it by any chance?

yeah i thought about that possibility but the motor came without a valve cover. the fact that i didnt recognize that g6 code on the head had me thinking that the motor could be a hyundai. can my old valve cover bolt on the the new motor if it is a hyundai?

Its not a hyundai motor even though they are 4g63 at heart they call them G4CP in code so thats what would be stamped on the block...

biuld up the hyundai motor and ill take the jdm motor off ## hands.
