420A won't start, oil on spark plugs

I recently purchased a 95 eclipse gs, the car doesn't start due to oil leakage issues, i.e the spark plugs are covered in oil!, I sent an email to LD25Delta9 asking for help on the issue, and here is what he replied:

Sounds like you got fried rings. Give it a compression check and look for 175-225. If it's so bad it's soaking your plugs, then you probably won't see anywhere near those numbers. If you give it a compression check and everything is okay or slightly under those numbers, you may have fried Valve stem seals.

I've not yet had a chance to confront this issue due to problems with the title, but as soon as I get a chance to I'll reply to this and let you all know how I made out!

much thanks to LD25Delta9 for all the advice he's given me thus far, he's very knowledgeable on the 420A! I'm not sure on his knowledge on the 4g63 tho! but maybe one day we'll find out?

i had this problem on my 98 eclipse when i first bought it and it was the valve stem seals and the valves themselves needed replaced too!!! good luck. thank god the 420a is easy to take the head off!!
