K guys so i may scoop up a 98 eclipse for a sweet deal. Could i use this manifold and turbo. http://www.andysautosport.com/products/cx_racing__TRB-KIT-MF-DSM- with a stock 1g or 2g smic and piping? With a boost controller set to relatively low psi say 4 or 5 pounds? I know ill have to drill into the pan for the turbo oil supply also. Will this be a relatively reliable setup if i run 91 octane gas to inhibit the combustion a little bit?

Cx racing doesnt make a manifold for the 420a motor.
symtech makes a good cast SS manifold http://www.symtechlabs.com/catalog/420a-race-manifold-p-62.html
you can use a stock 1g or 2g SMIC. I had a 1st gen side mount on mine for a little while. Bolts right up but I had to remove the horn for it to fit. The piping isnt quite the same but you can use the stock rubber IC hoses along with a few other parts to make it work.
Start with a 7psi wastegate (spring) with no boost controller. You can add one later if you need more boost.
For the oil feed to the turbo, you can use a sandwich adapter on the oil filter housing or add a T fitting between the oil pressure sensor and the block.
For the oil return get a 10an fitting welded to the oil pan.
91 octane will work no problem.

What are you gonna use for fuel management/tuning?

I have my old smic and piping from my 2g gst, what else am i gonna need to make it work? I was just gonna run low boost and rely on the knock sensor and the higher octane fuel to keep detonation at a minimum untill can figure out how im gonna do the engnine management. Im only looking to make around 180 crank horsepower. Just so i can stop daily driving my gst

Symtech doesn't exist anymore. They have been shady for a few years now. Treadstone doesn't even have the manifold on their website anymore. They do still have the log style though.

The stock 420a knock sensor will not be enough to rely on and hope your engine doesn't grenade.
