420A top speed

i was racing my this 350z and my friend's saturn sc2 (just for fun) and i couldnt get above 115mph. is there a top speed limiter? i wasnt at redline or anything. before i put my catback on i could only go up to 115 as well the increase of hp should make it be able to go higher if it is just the engine limiting it right? thanks

There's a limiter but it's definitely possible to go faster. I've been to 130mph bone stock (except for 18" wheels & a yellowbox).. and I know it took the 35 degree air in January and long straight flat stretch to get there. It was a good 20-30 seconds to go from 125-130. Altough I must say.. I'm never going to get near that in any car again - just too risky and I don't like insurance premiums as they are with a clean record.

Dude randomheros 99oz edition hits 145, its a n/a. He's got intake header and a muffler. If he can do that you guys must not be stayin in it long enough!

When i had my 420a, i could only get about 130. I never took off any limiter or anything like that, and when i bought it, it was 100% bone stock. I beleive that i was runnin at about 5k, and it just wouldnt pull any more than that. My upgrades were a complete exhaust system, cold air intake, and an msd coil and wires.
