Automatic AWD top speed

I have done homework trying to find the answer. No success in finding an answer, I don't know the top speed because, I due the posted speed limits, can anyone chime in on this topic?

Top speeds will obviously vary with the modifications to the vehicle. However, the top speeds for stock vehicles are in the following neighborhood:
- 1G AWD: around 140 MPH / 225 km/h
- 1G FWD: 140 MPH / 225 km/h
- 2G AWD: somewhere around 130-140 MPH.
- 2G FWD: some cars are speed limited to 130 MPH - see below for details



Is there a rev limiter on my car?

As far as is known, the ECU will stop fuel delivery on all the DSM cars at 7500 RPM.

Some 2G FWD cars have a speed limiter which cuts off fuel at 130 MPH. This is because the stock H-rated tires are only rated up to 130 MPH. Replacing the tires and performing this procedure will eliminate it. Warning: you do this procedure at your own risk. There is some information that this fix only works for 1995-1998 cars. "

I have seen 125 indicated in my stock 92 AWD AT car (on the track, of course) and 135 in a mildly modified (16g, 550s, super sidemount w/ hard piping & 1g BOV, 255 & 50 PSI FP) 95 FWD AT TSi under the same basic conditions. I wouldn't want to try & go any faster in the 2g, as it felt highly unstable at that speed. The 1g felt much less skittish and inspired confidence at that rate. I may check the potential top end in it again once I've finished the new engine, but it will definitely be under controlled conditions as before. I can't imagine trying to do something like that without the security of a closed course!
