Ok guys i need a little help and input. I have done some reading and just not sure of the correct answer so here goes. I turboed my 97 about 2 months ago now. I have the 255 pump and vortech fmu. I was running the stock injectors this way but at 15psi i was getting fuel cut and at 10 psi i am ok. My local speed shop directed me to go with a little larger injector so i did, i went from the stock 19lb to 24lb so that there wouldnt be to many problems. Well the 24lbers did the trick for 15 psi but now im running to rich at idle so heres the question. Can i tune enough to lower the fuel flow with an afc or safc and get good results and even tunning for the upper end to preform better. Remember im just getting to much fuel at idel but it does idle good. Or should i save some money buy bigger injectors again and get a sfmu. I am limited to funds right now and really only want to get it as good as i can for the buck. Im thinking 034 efi or portfueler or better yet MSnS if i can find someone to do the tunning and such forth. So give your opinion/set up recmendations for the safc or larger injectors and sfmu Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks Roy and sorry for the lengthy thread

It is my opinion that if your intention is to install MS, 034, or Portfueler soon, to just install the stock injectors and pull the boost back to 8psi for the mean time. If you fear it may be a while before you install one of those and you can't live with 8psi, get a S-FMU to hold you over.

The problem is that in order to go with a sfmu i need to buy larger injectors again since you can only get a 7-1 disc for it so im told. So to buy the sfmu and injectors is more costly than just an safc. What i need to know is how much tunning is possible to solve my prob with an safc since i will probably need both any how either route. It will be awhile before i go ms portfueler or 034 thanks

seriously, what the #### are you doing running 15psi on stock injectors and an fmu? Do you want to destroy your built block?

Read on here and on 2gnt until your eyes bleed instead of listening to some local speed shop that most likely doesn't know shit about a 420a.

And you CAN run an sfmu even with stock injectors, plenty of people do/have, again read to learn more

Well i wasn't going to post because i didnt want to be an ### LOL But i agree with the other guys 15 psi on a FMU is asking for a blown motor...Do some research dont just listen to what ever some moron at a "speed shop" tells you. Also get a wide ban so you know what your motor is doing instead of guessing all the time :nono:

I know its not that safe but im running 24lb injectors not the stock 19lb. I dont boost everywhere i go and i keep it at 10-12 psi useually. With the 24lb im using the 10-1 disk and according to my a/f guage i'm running rich not lean so techniclly no problems. Thats why i asked if i could tune down the injectors enough with an afc so its not rich at idle and what not. I'm gonna go sfmu soon with a lot bigger injectors, buti may be buying a MS set up from a member on here if everything needed is included and that will solve all my probs. Anyhow belive it or not, my car runs like a rapped date with no knocks pings or anything and even i cant belive it. Trust me i want to upgrade just waiting on some money to come in to do it right and as stated i dont keep it at 15psi unless its just for a little fun mostly at 10-12psi till i get the better set up. I thank everyone for the advice on what to do and will be needing some help if i get the ms cause i have no clue how to work it

Oh yeah by the way its going on a moble dyno in about 2 weeks and ill let you know what its doing at 15psi ghetto tuned for know
