I have 2 main problems with my 95 rs (420a) and i’m trying to get some help since i am new to the car/dsm scene. My ecu and harness are done badly and need to be rewired and soldered. the second problem is my harmonic balancer is broken. i mainly need help with the ecu/harness because i’m not good with wiring and would love some help and guidance.

post up some pictures of the harness.

dorman makes replacement balancers. i think the part number is

594-101

I deleted one of the pulleys to see if it’ll fix my harmonic balancer problem, the thing is it’s still squeaking but it doesn’t come off anymore. as for the ecu/harness i still haven’t touched anything but it’s still having the same problems.

until you can get it done correctly, get some racheting crimpers and recrimp all those connectors.

I only found 3 places that show they had a 95 harness, one was for an automatic transmission so i didn't list it.
Before you buy one, make sure and check that it has a single connector for the PCM (ECU) and that its for a manual transmission.

96-99 all have 2 connectors for the ECU

i posted up the wiring diagrams for the engine on a 95 car

see how your egr tube (red) is really close to the wires (green), well the wires tend to get melted from the heat off the tube.

Originally there as a shitty single layer fiberglass sleeve on the tube to protect the wires. since you don't have one anymore, get a spark plug boot heat shield and put it on the tube to protect the wires. You may not be able to get it over the flange on the end. If thats the case, cut it long ways, wrap it around the tube and use a hose clamp on each end to hold it in place.
you can get one of the spark plug heat shield things HERE

I got my whole harness and an extra one came with from ci motorsports 140 bucks shipped. He said they used to specialize in the eclipse with the 420a very cool people to deal with.
