I have a 1995 eagle talon esi 5 speed i replaced the head gasket redid the timing, replaced the IACV, TPS, FPR, MAP, Plugs, wires, all fluids and some suspension components. My main problem is that it idles at 850 rpm but has a serious "cam" sound to it. Its sluggish, slow, and blows out bluish smoke that smells horribly of gas and oil. I cant figure out what is going on. Any insight would be much appreciated.

New studs head was taken to a machine shop for resurface cleaning and compression test everything was good on the head plug wires are correct as it can only go one way with the ignition coil And all torque was done as the manufacture called for.

Everything in the head was replaced already did compression and timing has been checked ten times and not just by me. I was told there is a chance of having the wrong computer could cause these behaviors as well

Recent update. Found out I have a computer for the automatic version of my car would that really be a big deal!?

Having the wrong ecu will cause all these issues I'm having. The over use of gas poor acceleration speedometer being way off and everything?

What is the part number you need i have a few for sale i think i might be having the same problem does the car die on you at all or oil light come on for having low idle ?

No it doesn't die or anything but its camming really hard and using way to much fuel but I verified with a few shops and the dealership I have the wrong computer. Not sure of the part number but its one plug in the computer that's tightens by a bolt.

Ah yes thats right you have a 95 so they came with the single long plug with a 8mm bolt holding it together. i have a few where you located.might be able to ship to you. Im really want to know if it is the ecu. reguardless please update when you do find the fix. also what spark plugs are you using and what do you have them set at ?

I live in Virginia and from every thing I've done the ECU is the last possibility. And I have NGK coppers right now but once problem is solved will be using NGK iridium's set at .045
