So i have an ACT2600 and it handles the power great, but destroys my clutch master cylinders. I just recently blew my second one in a year. No leaks, but the seals inside let go. Are there any ugrades? I know people are running way harder clutches than mine, so what are you having luck with? Thanks

you have the best factory one you can get in a 2g gsx. but if you are buying crappy auto zone master cylinders you will contiune to have problems. spend the extra money for a good one.

also throw a stainless steel line on there to help hold the pressure better!

I have a stainless braided line which also eliminates the accumulator. So I should go back to the stealer and get one from Mitsu rather than aftermarket?

Something's up. This isn't a routine problem, consequently there are no routine solutions. I suspect you have some other thing wrong with your setup. How high is your clutch adjusted? Are you beating the crap out of things?

having the same problem mines about 3 weeks old im running a act 2900 though. Anything aftermarket? MY stock mits let go letting fluid inside the car and floor board.

When I replaced the clutch, i shimmed the pivot ball and made sure when I adjusted the rod to the clutch pedal that it still had free play. I bit the bullet and replaced the master with a OE mitsu part and we'll see if it lasts and it just a matter of cheap aftermarket parts i guess.

You should not have to shim anything on a 2600 act. Your problem was most likely buying the non oem parts. Always buy OEM slave and clutch cylinder expecially with a big clutch. If both those parts are good, no shimming or longer slave rods are needed.

I prob should have added that I also installed a Fidanza Lightweight flywheel. It def had to be shimmed. I used an OEM slave cylinder with the correct sized rod, but had to put 2 washers on the pivot ball. Both pivot ball and fork for the TOB were brand new and OE. They didn't have master in stock so I used aftermarket. Hopefully this one holds up better. Its not being abused (other than holding pressure for a 2600lb pressure plate)
