Hey guys, sorry for posting on such a stupid install but I've searched vfaq, and this site and havent found anything. I'm looking for steps on removing and installing a clutch master cylinder on a 2g. I just want to know what I'm getting myself into before I swap it out.

It's pretty easy, a friend and I changed one on his N/T so I'm not sure how different the turbo version is.

Basically it involves detaching the piston/actuator arm from the clutch pedal (a clip) and probably 2 bolts that attach the MCC to the firewall.

You need to detach the clutch hard lines also. Install is the reverse of removal. Remember to bleed your clutch line afterward. There is a bleed valve accessible from under the car near the middle of the tranny. It's not hard to spot, it has a black protective cap over it.

Overall, I would say for a first timer to budget 1.5-2hr or less to finish. Not a difficult job, just unbolt and bolt up again.
