Master Clutch Cyl. Caught FIRE(420a)

Ive told a few people about this no one has ever heard of this.............I was driving down the road and underneath my hood started smoking i went to disengage the clutch and the pedal went to floor i pulled over popped the hood and my clutch line from the master cyl was on fire.. it was on fire from the top of the cyl all the way between the battery and strut tower.. What im asking if it is possible for a ground from the battery to ground out and heat up the line enough fot this to happen Becuase there is a ground cable that runs the same path as my line

Sounds like some kind of short, something got hot, and if you've ever worked on a car you know how flamable brake fluid is!

WTF WOW, I've never heard of that before. Did you notice any other burning marks up on the hood to locate a seperate culprit. You do have a battery tie down right?

yea i got to it before any buning occured thank god ### i have a carbon fibre hood and i got to it before it burned all of the wires under it that lead to the computer

I split a radiator hose in half and zip tied it over my battery terminal, haven't had a single problem.

Sounds like your electrical system was trying to find ground through the clutch line.
