so i went out to my car, started it as usual and when it started it sat around 500 rpms then about 5 minutes later it shut off, i went to crank it back on and it was a constant crank and it caught fire and wont turn back on

Check all the wiring it could be anything start digging through the car. We can't determine why itwon't start. Check the basics now .

it’s the ground wire that goes to the firewall and the intake manifold on the 420a don’t know if that’ll cause a no start

Sounds like you have some corroded wiring creating resistance. Enough that it caused enough heat to catch on fire.

Inspect the battery + and grounds along with the starter + and -.

I mean if it caught on fire it should be pretty obvious where the problem lies.

yeah it’s on the left side of the 420a intake manifold into the firewall, i was told it could be a possible main ground?
