3G Lifters

Ok, I have a 2G and I am getting ready to do a 6 bolt swap. Im going to be buying a bare head and building it by putting my own parts together.

Now, the question is I want to use the 3G lifters in a 1G head but I have someone telling me that it is impossible to use 3G lifters period in our cars. So I would like to know can you use 3G lifters? What does it take to make them work? I would like to prove my friend wrong as he is a mitsu mechanic.

Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

He probably thought you meant lifters from a 3g Eclipse.

The lifters will most certainly fit. I have 3G lifters in my car and they work great.

what has to be done to make them work? any extra machining work?

They're the same size as the factory ones, with the exception of the larger oil hole in the top. I just replaced mine last week

they are 3g revised lifters, as in the the third revision.

yea, i was trying to explain that to him but i think he was referring to the 3G eclipses. thanks for the replies.
