It is not a bolt on if that's what you're asking. SL brakes are a bolt on but no matter what anybody says they are not the same as 93-94 AWD brakes. They are very similar and the rotors are the same. The calipers are slightly different. It's the piston size.

see what i was told is if i get the brackets and calipers and the right size rotors its a good upgrade.
 
even worth the upgrade?

Almost anything is an improvement over the 90 brakes. The dual piston calipers are a simple swap and a nice upgrade, couple them with stainless steel brake lines and some good pads and your set for most non roadracing needs.
