3 grand ?

Ok how much money would you say i would have to have to turbo my motor cause i have a 6 bolt nt but want to make my car turbo would 3 grand be enough and please dont tell me to just buy a turbo i am just wondering if that would be enough to make my 6 bolt nt a turbo 6 bolt motor. I know i could buy a turbo awd for that much but im just wondering and asking questions cause i am a newb.

Can it be done yes ...Are you doing all the work your self ..Do you have a source for all the parts ...Are you planing on changing the pistons your self ? or leaving them , to blow your engine faster ? All in all if you can source all the parts for cheap and doing it your self yes 3 grand should be enough ...If you are getting someone to do it 3 grand will cover labor costs !!!!

You could get a whole built motor for about that price if you shop right talk to some vendors and work out some deal and do some research what place can do good work and hook you up.

If you're serious and don't mind taking some time on a build you should use your 6 bolt NT block which has no oil squirters, unlike the 6 bolt turbo blocks, and build that up with new pistons, rods, and everything else you would need to build a good 4g63 turbo engine. Can it be done for $3000?.. Probably close to it. Maybe a little bit more. It is possible. But in all honesty I would hold on to that money, sell your NT. Buy a gsx or Tsi awd and put what money you have left over into some basic bolt on mods.

Shit you have a 1g with a 2.0 already in it. You can easily throw some turbo pistons in it with new rings and bearings and buy a stock turbo system, injectors, and ecu for 1000 or less. Stock parts are cheap.

Gsxs are cheap enolugh got my 1g awd for 800 with over 1000 dollars in free parts, i made money off this one.
