3" gm maf

I am currently in the process of installing a gm maf w/ translator. ( blow through setup)
I have heard that with this setup, I can eliminate the four nipples coming out of the throttle body elbow by plugging them or taking two small hoses and running one to another??, if so, what should i do with the 4 hoses originally connected to the nipples? plug them off where they end or.. Im sure some one can clear this up for me thanks
