Ok so does anyone know where I can find one of these because im not real big on the HUGE tips and a 3" tip is alot sleeper than a 5" one. I have a 2.5" in 3" out muffler on my n/a car but would like to find a 3" mandrel exhaust for my turbo with a 3" tip. Any advice? thanks in advance guys

I dont know of any that come with a three inch tip. But i ended up cutting mine off and makin my own tip so thats alway's an option.

you want sleeper go buy a geo metro.. you have a eclipse there is nothing sleeper about it..

the most you could do is run straight pipe and leave the stock muffler hanging... or better yet just use a bolt on down pipe with a 3" electric cut out and the rest of the exhaust stock

meh, just get a thermal r&d. great sound/performance.

and when people ask about that 4" tip, let 'em look under the car and see the huge pipe coming back from the turbo. :talon:

That was funny... If you want a 3" tip, buy any 3" exhaust, go to Pepboys get a 3" tip, cut off the tip off the 3" exhaust and hook up the 3" tip :thumb: I personally like the BIG tips, but that's me. :D

If a geo metro has a 3" exhaust and sounds like our 4g63s do, then there will be noone thinking its sleeper at all, rather know its hooked the fuvk up.

If his eclipse has a 3" exhuast, everyone will think its just another 14 second car.

Has anyone had any luck with cutting off the tip of an exhaust and putting a small one on? I dont want a complete sleeper look but I really dont like the looks of a 5 inch exhaust i guess a 4 inch wouldnt be too bad can anyone post some pictures of a 4" inch compared to a 5" for me? Ive tried searching on this but there are so many exhaust treads that end with nothing that it isnt helpful. Also if I get an exhaust cut out will I have to have an afc to switch between fuel settings? ive heard yes and no but I need to know for sure.

Dident you read my reply? I cut the tip off my exhaust and i rewelded a 3.75 pipe to it .

well was it just regular pipe or did you get stainless steel to make it look kinda shiny because my muffler I have is stainless and shiny and adding just regular pipe would look bad.

It was a stainless steel pipe i got from the shop that i worked at and i dident want it to shinny thats just my prefence so i dident get it polished .

My Thermal muffler came with a 3" outlet on the muffler.

I went to www.NipponPower.com and bought a universal 7" can 3" inlet/outlet muffler. I then had the rest of the exhaust fabricated. It looks nice, althoug the muffler is kinda large. I've had many guys, even muscle car guys tell me they like the way it looks compared to the huge tips on most import mufflers.

Sounds super mean also.
