going from the stock 2g turbo to a 14b 1st gen turbo i'll need different oil lines right? and if so where can i get them, could i possibly make some of my own if they are impossible to get.

You are correct in that you'll need different oil lines.
-They are not impossible to get.
-They are the same ones as on a 1g.
-You can use the 2g oil return if you grind out the bolt holes in the 2g oil return to fit the turbo's.

Search for 14b or 16g install in a 2g.

You'll either need an install kit (new oil lines, coolant lines, gaskets, and j-pipe) or you can cheap out a bit and reuse your coolant lines by swapping and bending them, reuse your oil return, reuse a few gaskets, and just have to purchase a 1g oil feed and the j-pipe.

You'll also need the correct intercooler piping to get the turbo to attach to what you have.

Here is the kit that you need. Hope this answers your question. http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=600&cat=87&page=1 :thumb:

That kit is way overpriced and you don't need it.

Thanks (Fixed it on mine as well) :D

I know its a little pricey but I did not feel like searching all day. The kit does have everything he would need though. But there is always a cheaper way to do it just as you have stated. Good info :thumb:

yea i already have the aftermarket J pipe that i ordered but i guess im just going to build my own kit because i couldnt find any close and i cant really wait another week for shipping

Then all you really need is the 1g oil feed and the banjo bolts for it.

You can use your current coolant hoses if you use the front one on the back and vise versa. You'll have to bend them a little bit. It's best to use a phillips head screw driver of similar diameter and use it to help reinforce the pipe as you bend it. One of the two will need a slightly longer piece of hose, but you should be replacing both anyways.

And like I mentioned before, you can just use a carbide bit to grind the holes in the oil return into an oval shape so the boltholes line up.

If you need gaskets, you can go to an Advance Auto or similar store and order a "Turbocharger Gasket Set" for your car. It includes all the gaskets for both 14b/16g and T25 setups.

i can buy that at like a auto parts store?

Probably not. You'll need to get that from the dealer, a vendor, used, or something like that.

Did a quick search.
The part number on the turbocharger gasket set is:
FEL-PRO Part # ES72787
It runs about $30.
