2nd,4th & Reverse gone.. stuck in san jose help please

hey iam in san jose california for my christmas vacation and something went wrong with my gearing iam not sure what it is but if someone around here can help me out or if anyone knows whats wrong with it let me know... i need to get this fixed or else iam screwed caus i got to get back to work on the monday after christmas.

Check the shifter arms and linkage connections. If it's 2nd, 4th, and reverse, all of those involve the shif linkage being pushed forward to select those gears. Go out and grab the arms on the transmission and move them yourself to see if it's the transmission itself or not.

it is your linkage...the same thing happened to me on my way to the beach with a girl it really sucked going from 1st to 3rd then to 5th ...had to drive 3 hrs back too i wasnt leaving my car there the problem was fixed withing a couple of hours...the car never felt that strong before it got fixed

oh yea and pushing the car out of parking spots really sucked
