I own a 1995 Gsx with a made date of 5/1994.. its has vented rear rotors.. I ordered some for a 95-99 gsx and they came to me smaller and not vented.. same with the pads..

I want slotted and dimpled ebc rotors.. but from what im reading the only place that i can buy rotors for an early 1995 eclipse is from is RRE..

Is RRE really the only place I can get rear rotors for an early 1995 gsx?

is there any chance they are 1994 rear rotors?

please advise.. Livid I spent almost 400 bucks on rotors and pads and they dont fit..

I didnt ask a question whether they have vented rotors or not.. that was established already.. However the threads i came across when "searching" for options were several years old..

I didnt get a definitive answer as to what model fits.. some say the 3000gt rears match.. then a person says they dont sit flush.. The discs I assume were already manufactured when Mitsubishi was slapping these things on in the early 90s.. I would guess they used them on several model cars.. 94 gsx being one of them? Which if so gives me a lot more options aftermarket..

I dont want blanks.. Ill contact revworks they made a post 5 years ago saying they had them..

The Early 95's use the vented 94 rear rotors. Oreilly part number 76569RGS.

The 1994 model year cars did not have vented rotors. No 1g did. That does look like the right part for the early 1995 cars. If you were referring to 1994 BUILD date then yes that sounds correct. Jan through oct 1994 build date 2g cars have the vented rotors according to ASA.

That does look like the right part for the early 1995 cars.
Sure does- even has the e-brake shoe surface on the inside which is 2G-specific. :thumb:

I think the listing is wrong and went just by the build date or something.

I know it's been a while, but I just found the part number for widely available rear vented rotors.

There are two sizes available for the vented rear single piston rotors:
284mm from the 91-93 3000GT VR4 and 92-95 Diamante Wagon
266mm from the 91-99 3000GT NA

The 284mm rotors are use with a 38mm single piston caliper while the 266 with a 35mm.

The 284mm vented rear are also find on the 4G Eclipse GT.

^^Thanks Jamie!

I just dont get how the caliper rebuild kit costs 32 bucks from JNZ. There are 2 pieces of rubber and a metal clip........IDK.

Anyone knows alternative parts to rebuild the early 95 calipers with vented rotors?

Did u measure the piston? The 4G eclipse GT used a 35mm piston for its rear vented rotor and I think the 95 GSX used the same size just different caliper bracket as the 1G 3KGT VR4 used a 38mm rear piston.

I will measure it once i take it apart.

I just checked with JNZ for that Diamante wagon rebuild kit - it's actually 34 bucks....damn.

I got the ones for my early Build 95 May/1994 from Napa..thing is i took my rotor off and brought it with me.

Things also different about early build GSX's
Most had Eprom ECU's with were socketable
Mine has LSD, and ABS
Mine does not have a sunroof
Large vented Rear rotors
Power antenna, with CD changer

I am the original owner.

The reason these threads are years old is because Most of the early build 95, Gsx's have long since figured this out, and posted in the threads above.

According to JNZ the replacement part for early AWD calipers with vented discs has to be ordered from Japan with 2-3 months of waiting.

Here's the Centric Part 143.91003
