Hey. I basically just have a 96 eclipse and am ready to change the looks to a 2gb style. I have called every junk yard around and got nothing. Classifieds are a no go as well. Anyway I was wondering how the install is on the cheap ebay ones like this... eBay
I would think because it is after market there would be many of the same problems that make body kits such a pain. Anyone have any experience with the install or quality of the bumper cover. How is the paint job they offer (one ebay CO says they will do the paint for $165)? Any body seen there work? Is there another company you would suggest more over all the ebay brands? Or perhaps you know someone selling one in Seattle or surrounding areas in black (no other colors please)

Thanks all.

I ended up getting a bumper cover from certifit for 44 bucks. With the right treatment (according to the painter) it should look and function as well as oem. I have seen quite a few finished product pictures and they look great. I don't know how well it will hold up but many people seem to think they do good.

I put an Ebay bumper on my old talon and it looked great with the right prep and paint. Perfect fitment and a great price.

Last time I checked my local junkyard there were 3 2gb rear bumpers and 2 2gb front bumpers. I have an ebay bumper and I love it!

Yea, I bought the eBay front bumper and I personally think its great...the spot for the emblem is not really correct, but I'm not advertising for Mitsu. anyways so I just left it off...

The ebay 97-99 bumper is AWESOME. The fit is near perfect if not that. Material is sturdy like oem. There really is no complaints about it. These are the bumpers that I have seen bodyshops use as replacements.

REally the only thing to hate is saying it's ebay.

The bumper I got doesn't have a triangle for the emblem.

that probably looks alot better than having a triangle cut out like mine, but I'll live haha. Im nervouse about cutting it up for the FMIC...
