2g throttle body elbow aluminum?

Hello everyone. I am ordering myself the sd bundle kit from ecmlink today, from what I have read it's best to install the iat at the throttle body elbow. The kit comes with the bung needed to install the iat. This might sound like a stupid question, but I just need to make sure . The 2g throttle body elbow is made of aluminum correct? Also what are the disadvantage of installing the iat before my throttle body elbow on my upper intercooler piping if any? Pros and cons of both would be great. Thanks.

It is made of aluminum. There's not much of a difference on the install. it's just made to measure the temps of your upper intercooler piping, so the temperature change wouldn't be drastic enough to matter. just install it where it's made to go.
