2g tdo5 install : modified oil return?

Who has done it this way? Also any tips for this procedure? How long does it take? etc.

"File the holes on the Oil Return line closer together, enough so you can screw the bolts into the new turbo (you may remove it completely from the car if needed, but you'll have to deal with trying to avoid oil leaks at the pan.. It's recommended you leave the line bolted to the pan and just do the filing on the car)

I'm going to be purchasing an MHI EVOIII in a few days and I've been doing some last minute homework before the purchase. I'll be using the install kit from SBR(also to be ordered) if it is worthwhile to mention.

I really only have one day to do the install so I'm trying to figure out exactly what I'll need to do and when so that I have as little downtime as possible. In the mean time I've been continuing to search and read on others' experiences.

Anyway, any $.02 on this method would be appreciated.

I initially left it bolted to the oilpan and covered the hole with tape, but it was a pain. I used a file and a dremel and it kept flopping around everywhere. I just unbolted it from the oilpan and it was 10 times easier and took like 3 minutes (I wasted 10 minutes trying to do it on the car). I used a new gasket and it never caused any problems, just make sure not to overtighten the bolts.

ok so i should just take it off the car and use a dremel?
