Hi I was about to head to a junk yard that has a 95 talon and wanted to pick up the sides for my2gb and I am unsure what all I need to take from the other talon to do the job and all the tools I'll need to get it too. Any help is appreciated

Take the side skirts and the clips. That's all it really is. You probably want to take some extra clips from other dsms if you can too. It's mostly held on by the clips. The small piece that's on the front fender is held on by a couple bolts as well. Mainly just take your time so you don't break stuff.

OKay guys thanks for all the help!
Also anyone happen to have a link to a guide for the conversion? I tried searching a guide but didn't actually find one. Only found references to a guide.

You could also get a door panel clip fork tool to get the clips out. I think I paid like 7 or 8 bucks for mine years ago. When removing the clips on the outside of the car, I use a towel to keep from scratching the car.

Just a thought.

Yeah I was planning on using a rag or shirt to keep the scratching them as much as possible. I'm just hoping they aren't damaged already. But I'll look into this tool and maybe give it a try.

Nope. The 2gb Talons don't have any sideskirts/caps from the factory.

You will need to drill holes for all the clips. The phillips screws that run along the bottom of the car screw into square plastic clips, so unless you have a special drill bit, you will probably use something else.

I'm going to use aluminum threaded inserts (rivnuts) for the bottom mounts.

The rest of the clips (door caps/upper) use a round clip, so oem will work. You will probably break most of them pulling them off the car tho. They're pretty cheap if you get them off ebay from HK :)

Alright I might have to steal your idea if that's alright. And I'll make sure to have extra clips just in case. I'm assuming you are currently doing the same to your 2gb?
