2g rods or aftermarket rods

well i just came up on some .020 wesico pistons but now i dont know if i could use my 2g rods or would i have to buy aftermarket

I would just go ahead and get some forged rods to go with your forged pistons anyway. 2g rods aren't known for their strength, and if you want to save them you would have to pay to have the pins pressed out of the old pistons/rods and pressed back into the rods using your new pistons. New aftermarket forged parts are full floating pin design, so you can assemble them without special tools.

To answer your original question: If they are 2g wiesco pistons, you should be able to use your old rods if you want to, but 1g pistons would have a different diameter pin.
