2g Ran rough now wont start

I have a 95 tsi fwd i just bought the car. its a 1g head with a 14b turbo well it ran great then threw a code of p1300 the mdps. it was running really rough. it had a 1g intake manifold on it, no spot for the sensor to hook up. so i took a 2g intake manifold and put it on the car. i started it up the morning before i changed the manifold and it gave another code of injector 4 open circut. i looked over the injectors and one was broken on the end, the plastic was cracked. so i took a set of stock 2g injectors and put them on with the 2g manifold. now that i have everything put back together it wont start. It wants to start backfires a bit, but just dies. i tryed new plugs, wires, coilpack, throttle body, fuel filter. any ideas at all would be wonderful.

Well you most likely have done this but make sure your firing order is all correct. Make sure the each plug is on the right cylinder and on the coil pack. Firing order is 4,1,2,3

yea i checked the firing order and its correct. ive heard that it might be the intake manifold gasket now would that cause the car not to start??

Well I never heard of that but to check to see if it's leaking just do a boost leak test.

your running a 1g with a 2g intake manifold. theres your problem.

Yeah, theres no way to run a 2g intake mani on a 1g head. I tried when i had the motor out. Theres gonna be a huge leak. The 2g mani doesnt even cover the ports in the 1g head. Its more then a leak its a big hole.
