Car ran rough - now wont stay runing

K i have a 98 rs W/ turbo. My car had a fuel leak just the other day and i had to drive it home 50 miles so i could work on it. If I kept it over3000 rpm's then it was just fine. But now the car wont even run, but it still fires then dies.

I had a check engine light come on and it was cyl. 2 and 3 misfiring. I checked the plugs and they are sparking fine, also they are new 1 range colder. and coil was tested, Good.
I did a compresion test and the cyl's. are holding 125 and above. so no valve problem or ring problem.
I just did a one over of the vacum lines and replaced the intake manifold gaskets, so no vacum leaks.

So i need to know if it's my injectors or f##ked or if you might think something else.
It's not the ECU cuase the car starts but die's right after. Also when it ran it sounded like cyl' 2 an 3 werent at all so it leads me to believe so. let me know I need a secind opion before i replace anything else...thanks

have you checked your crank sensor?

have you checked your ignition module? i've had that happen, 2 and 3 weren't working ### the ignition module was not connected all the way..so check that and report back..

where do you get these ideas before you post? The 420s dont have an Ignition module to my knowledge.. they have the ECU a CAM sensor and a CAS..



I would look into the CAM sensor if the car has fire then the CAS is good. I just spend alot of time working on an avenger last week and it ended up being the CAM sensor. It would start run fine then die. Then sometimes it wouldnt start and others it would run and cut out kept showing misfires and all kinds of weird codes.

ok well the car still didn't work with the cam sensor replaced. it still started then just died right after. what would be next to check.

the fuel problem was only a loss hose on my fmu return side cause a clamp came loss. I fixed all the fuel leaks but am still wondering on the injectors if it isn't anything else

also i checked my fuel presure and it's running with in specs and it's a 255lph pump (new) to.

Did you happen to pinch or kink a fuel line?

CRANK SENSOR? did you change it ?
