so i just got my pocketlogger a couple days ago and i have been having a lot of fun logging my runs with it. everything seems to be in order with my car according to the logger, but doing a bit of math today has me a bit worried.

i put a big t28 from fp on the car a few days ago, only other power mods are intake and mbc/boost guage. i meant to get the turbo after fuel, exhaust etc.. but my t25 died so i had to get it early. using the logger i have determined that i can run 14 psi with no pulling of timing or drop in voltage from the o2 sensor, timing is a steady rise to 20 and 02 reads a steady ~.92 so i am not too worried about running lean or knocking, and the car feels fast as hell compared to the t25. anyway, on to my issue- i decided to try to extract an approxamate 0-60 and 1/4 mile time based on my logs. what i did is look at the best launched log i have made and noted the time difference between 0 and 60 mph- since stock is somewhere in the mid 6's i figured id be in the mid to low 5's on this new setup. well, my run started at 5.03 seconds on the logger and i hit 60 mph at 13.21 seconds- a difference of 8.2 seconds... there is no way in hell the car takes 8 seconds to get to 60-- on this run in particular i got an excessively violent launch, with the front tires breaking traction for the first second or so (this is in a gsx). i know what an 8 second 0-60 feels like from my old car, and this isnt it. taking it a step farther, assuming a 14 flat 1/4 mile run leaves my trap speed at somewhere around 73 mph, which is also complete garbage. my question is why is my logger lying to me? are the seconds it is counting different from actual seconds some how? i am not trying to get exact figures here, but there is no way my car is anywhere near as slow as the logger is making it out to be, 60 comes a whole lot faster then 8 seconds, and i am sure as hell not running 17 sec 1/4 times. i already beat down gt mustangs and ls1's pull on me, but not by a lot, so dont tell me its my car- it isnt.. what is wrong with the timing in my logger???

You can't use the logger like that because it is very delayed. I tried doing it as well and when I looked at my logs I noticed that only every 500 or so rpms it records and my time was also inaccurate. Use a gtech if you want a close time ... go to the track for a real time ... dataloggers just don't have the best capture rate.

cool, thats all i was looking for. just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something somewhere. i was just bored at work looking through my logs and noticed how odd the times seemed. :)
