2g overheated? randomly

Ok so i got my car back on the road today from my broken balljoint and put new radiator in since mine was cracked we anyway i drove it about 25 miles to work from the shop and was fine drove it about 5 miles at lunch was fine drove to urgent care with the girlfriend from work about 15 miles fine and drove home about 25 miles and the last about 5 miles it started to get really hot didnt notice at first so it got kinda hot what coild it be i was thinking tstat any ideas

I would start with burpin the coolant system of any air bubbles first and did you use new a new radiator cap?

Yeah air bubbles, t stat isnt opperating properly, or the fan isnt kicking on.

Fan is always on but how do i get the air bubbles out i had cap off when filled obviously and it sat for a few with it off while i hooked a few ic pipes back up do i open cap and run car for a few minutes?

Yes you sure do. Not sure if you ever watch first start up videos but they all run their cars with their rad caps off to get all the air bubbles out for about 2-3min after the car is fully warmed up.

Oh got ya. Yeah on a couple build videos they have the video of the "first start up" and they usally have the rad cap off, a funnel in the filler hole and let it run for a little bit.
