2g OEM Infinity Amp

About as much as an after market deck; 15-20 RMS x 4.

I would suggest buying an aftermarket stereo, new four channel amp, 6.5" component speakers up front and nice 6x9s in the rear.

Plus being 10 years old... I doubt it'll last much longer... and if you have OEM speakers... they're on their way out too.

This is what I would recommend.. If your getting subs, save yourself money and just buy a 2 channel amp for the fronts, power the rear "rear fill" speakers with deck power. Cheaper, and more power for your fronts--due to the nature of 2 channel amps over 4.

As far as the stock amp, no one really knows what its RMS wattage is. But after doing listening comparisons of deck power compared to stock amp power (using MITAH), the infinity amp sounds more powerful. Also using a wiring harness and deck power, you lose your dash speakers/tweeters.

Although I would be optimistic as far as quality and how long the stock amp would last... It is an infinity if that means anything.

I also agree with an aftermarket amp. I had the infinity system in my car, and recently took it out and purchased new speakers for the back and components for the front, and a four channel amp to push them. Sounds much better then the infinity set up from factory.

plus losing the ones in the dash aren't so bad, as mine were dry rotted very bad from being directly under sun light.
