For the exhaust, The GS spyder already has the turbo exhaust so no need for that. Find yourself a good 2.5" custom exhaust. When I hear the word flex pipe, I think of the flex section. Is this what you mean?
 
really i'd thnk all a spyder needs as far as exhaust is a test pipe, straigt-thru muffler ane maybe the resonators in the piping removed and straight piped. any bigger piping and i'd be afraid of too much back-pressure loss which would result in a loss of low-end torque. unless you're producing alot more hp, stick with the stock piping.

I'm not sure. All I know is this place does really good work and really cheap, but this "flexpipe" whatever it is, is apparently illegal, so I don't want to do that. How far back should I do the custom exhaust, catback? Also, another newbie question: what is a decent muffler,
