By installing a 2g mass on my curent setup, how much do I need to compensate with the safc on 450s? I am already runnin slghtly rich. My settings are 0 on all curently. I am wondering if like 5% on all would work, or mabey 10% on all? I know, I know, I don't have a logger yet.

I would say about +20. You should get a logger, though. :thumb:

Definitly getting a logger soon. I'll probably have to turn the boost down also so I don't hit fuel cut right? I'll try 20% and go from there until I get a logger. Thanks bro!

i just finished getting the low end knock out of mine.

i have a 2gmas 3" intake 1g car, 2.5" o2 housing back exhaust, 10psi ----creaping---> 19psi, stock fuel system other than the pump is rewired.

setting go somehtin glike this:

low thr: 40%
high thr: 75%

low thr:
800: +18%
1600: +23% <-- had some knock issues here when i was letting out the clutch in traffic
2200: +23% <-- same thing, knock issues @ 21-22% i saw 4-7 counts, 23% = 0 :)
3200: +18% <---gonna mess around with that to get better gas mileage
4200: +9%
4400: +8%
5000: +7%
5400: +6%
6000: +6%
6400: +6%
7000: +6%
7400: +6% <---prolly could use that throttle point somewhere else OMG

high thr:
800: +8%
1600: +8%
2200: +10%
3200: +12%
4200: +15%
4400: +16%
5000: +17%
5400: +18%
6000: +18%
6400: +18%
7000: +18%
7400: +16% <--too keep the injectors from going over 100% Duty Cycle

I just did a log today 79* out, 3rd gear pull, max timing of 24*, starts dropping off after the higher rpms and higher boost, im working on my creep problem. air temps went from 126* to 107*, low to high rpm. Injectors reached 95% D/C around 7000 rpm (good time to shift :D ) 0 knock count as well. o2s were at .84 and .86, but all o2s read diff anyways.

so to everyone that says 2g mas without 550s can't be done, eat me. Im sure if I get bigger injectors i will see better timing tho :thumb:

and once more stock fuel system pushed to the limits, i will turn the boost up to 17psi after i finish my homemade atmohspheric wastegate dump.

this tune also gets the manifold red hot real quick. another reason for bigger injectors & fuel pressure reg.

lemme know how it goes, my AIM is 'habes fu'

Yo, kyle_h. I have a walbro 190lph rewired and 7es plugs and I am not going to list everything I got but it is all in my mod list, I creep to 20psi with no fuel cut or sputtering. I am running prety rich right now and I don't need a logger to tell me that. I have my settings at with the 2g mass.

low thr 50% high thr 80%

low and high settings are plus 17 at all points for now.

Net points 1k 2k 2.6k 3k 3.6k 4k 4.6k 5k 5.6k 6k 6.6k 7k I have to get a logger before I can use my full potential.
Good gas milage, and tons of top end, perfect idle and torque also!

So have you guys noticed a difference with the 2g set up then or think you should'a just gone with the MAFT?

I got a logger and SAFC2 wally255 and I think i am bout to order a 2g MAF set up to give it some kit.

what kind of fuel pressure are you guys running also?

I like the 2g mass for my curent setup because installation and buy price is little or nothing and the pay off is worth it. The only down side is it made the creep go from 17psi to 20psi. If you are going all out race though a MAFT may be for you?

yea, i just want to give this thing a little more kick. nothing crazy, so i went with the 2g mas, it was real cheap and definatly worth the money. easy swap too. Im just running this car until i get money to fix another project. but it's been fun so far. trying to keep the spending to a minimal as well. :)

95GSXracer, why dont u suggest to run higher fuel pressure?

One, the ECU expects a certain pressure, and everything it does is geared toward that presure. Two, pumps flow rate goes down as pressure goes up. Changing FP will affect many things. Can you live with it? Probably. Not sure what the advantage is though. Typically its a bandaid fix at best. If you need more fuel, getting it the right way is the right way to do it, IMO.
