General 2G MAS in a 1G

Cut one off at a junkyard and likely pay $25 or use a molex connector from radio shack and hard wire it to the MAS. Use some silicone on the MAS pins to waterproof it. Take the pins out of the car side of the MAS connector and put them in the molex connector. It worked good for me since I couldn't find a connector in a yard near me. Check out the VFAQ on it.

I called up www.mitsubishigraveyard.com for a 2g mas plug. It was very easy to wire up. It only cost me $25, and didnt take long for me to get. That way I didnt have to sacrifice my stock plug.

Is there an advantage to doing this upgrade since the GM MAFT is available now? Just currious since the fuel will be the next thing I do once my car runs.

The 2g MAS plug is the same plug for the ignition used on all 1g's, it's behind the head near the FPR.

I believe 2g's used that same plug on the coil pack, but I can't verify that.
