The previous owner welded a bung on the 1g intake manifold for the 2g map sensor. I'm now running speed density with a gm Omni 4 bar, does the 2g map still need to be connected?

If you are referring to the stock manifold differential pressure sensor (MDP), then it is not necessary. The purpose of the MDP is to verify that the EGR valve is working properly. Removing it will likely cause emissions related CELs, but you can take care of that with Link.

well i unplugged it and blocked the port, with out getting a code, but i havent really driven it around yet. i noticed in ecmlink there is a spot to lock the mdp input. i'm assuming that only needs to be clicked if i'm using the mdp ecu input for something else?
