2g manual transmission shifter cable

Im doin a manual swap on my 1996 2g 4g63, i ordered the shifter cable but was told that it was discontinued. has anyone had this problem

Yeah, i was trying to buy some new 2g cables. All i could find was new 1g cables.

Best bet is try the classifieds or junk yards.

The swap didn't come with cables?

no i bought all the parts separate, can the 1g cables work with the 2g trans

My bad with the late respponse, yes the 96 is a 2nd gen, but i bought a 1995 tranny, which is also a 2nd gen but they use different shifter cables than the othe 2nd gens. i got the cable from a junk yard in california
