Ok I have read that the 2g mafs are a better setup than my 1g, an my question is. Does it matter weather or not if its a Non-turbo or a turbo 2g DSM, MAF? (Iam not even sure if the N/T use the same setup) If I were to get a N/T MAF would it be the same as a turbo? or would I have to get a turbo MAF?

You need a 2g turbo maf. 2g's non turbo don't have maf's. their map sensor equipped.

Not sure if your aware or not but you'll need bigger injectors for the added air or some type of tuning product. It's been proven that 1g's run suprisingly well with 550's and a 2g Maf. My car runs decent with a 2g maf, no tune and 550's on a big 16g at 13lbs.

Yea that is why I was asking about the maf because i had read about the 550's an the 2g maf. I am thinking about 2g MAF an evo injectors an a bigger turbo in the future.

So wib your car is running good with the 16g? now are you running 13psi because of notune or because your maxing out the 550's? or....LOL i have many questions LOL i just found out last week about the evo injectors an tonight about the maf

I was running 15 but was getting some odd knock counts in high rpm. I mean odd because the car is way rich. We thought it may have been rich knock but had no luck leaning it out. With 13 I am seeing no knock and can take it to redline now, so until we find the problem I am keeping it low. Please, ask away on the questions. If I can help I'll be more than happy to.

Currently using DSMlink. How are you going to connect the 2gmaf? You going to make a harness or are you going to splice? I would highly recommend the harness. It's actually not that hard to do. But if your going to make a harness I have an extra 1g plug you can have to make this.

i was not really sure how to connect it yet, as just found out about the 2g an 550's, is their a write up on how to make the connector? an also what other fuel mods to you have? fuel pump? fpr?
and that would be cool of you man thanks for all the help so far :)

Honestly, they have some pre-made on ebay. I think they are like $15. Worth it if you ask me. I ran the 2G MAF, 550's, 255 pump, and non-turbo FPR with a E3B16G. Went, 8.99 in the 1/8th mile spinning through first and my clutch slipping in second, kinda weird but it did, and my CAS 180 out... Pulled some aftermarket mustangs all day long..

CAS 180 out? and why a non turbo fpr? Iam about to go look a 90 eclipse GS auto. (I need a driver side mirror)
I spanked the crap out of a new civic si with an intake and exhaust. 40-80ish i pulled 3-4 cars then a 55-110 was bus lengths LOL and iam runnin 16psi with my MBC, an K&N, no muffler(rusted off) an many exhaust leaks LOL

To actually correctly use the 2g maf there are several changes that need to be made in the ecu coding. I have heard about the 550cc and 2g maf before but it doesnt sound very safe to me as your only means of tuning. Injector dead times and compensation coding should be done to do the 550s as well. I would definitely be scared to run any high boost numbers imho

I got the car from a guy locally that replaced the CAS and it was 180* out. I run the non-turbo FPR because it runs 47 PSI base over the stock 37 PSI base that the Turbo ones run. Shortens injector deadtime, and runs the full CC's the injectors can run. Injector CC's are rated on a 43.5 PSI base for fuel pressure. DSMLink has all the answers...

wow, so i guess i should pick up the fpr off the n/t eclipse that iam gonna look at, an someone said somthing about not having anything to tune with, but I have been looking at getting an Apexi AFC Neo...
